Experience with Toyo Proxes TPT?

Anyone have experience with these tires? How do they compare to the Turanza LS-V? I have a 03 SE 6 speed with RE92's and am wondering how much better they are.

Thanks

No experience with the Toyo Proxes TPT, but for your climate you may be better off with the BF Goodrich Traction TAs. I just bought Yokohama Avid H4S tires today as I got a steal on them (see thread in the Canada Forum). I have been debating between the H4S and Traction TAs for 9 months, and have been told that both are superior to the Proxes TPT.

If you're looking for an all-season tire, get the Proxes 4, not the TPT. Best tires I've ever owned (and I've owned alot of em)....

Thanks for your replies. I should have mentioned that I have snow tires mounted on steel wheels and therefore, don't need much in the way of winter capability.

Then don't buy all-season tires, buy straight summer tires.

I don't necessarily agree with that. There's no shortage of "freak" snowstorms anywhere and anytime in Canada and I'd sure rather be caught in one with all-seasons and not summer tires.

I had TPT's on my old rims. They were good in the dry, the wet sometimes got squirrely when braking but no hydroplaning. Didn't drive with them in snow. I rarely drive in the snow, I take the subways.

I guess that is why I prefer to live on the mild West Coast where some years we don't see a snow flake, rather than the middle of Alberta!
