Can sugar in the gas tank hurt your car? I know that in

older cars the sugar would ruin the carburators and stuff, but with the newer fuel injected cars we have fuel filters, and stuff, so it as bad. I guess my main question is if you had sugar in your gas tank could you drive it to the mechanics place to have it drained out by dropping the gas tank, or do you have to have the tow truck pick it up. I know we "should" have it picked up, but is it that bad to drive it 2 miles? Ohh and no it did not happen on the Max

Your fuel filter isn't going to stop something that's actually dissolved in the gas. If someone sugars you, have it towed unless you want your engine to turn into a caramel factory.
