Trunk Flooded?

After the downpour this whole week, I heard water swishing around in my trunk when coming to a stop after driving. And, to my surprise, my spare tire aread was pretty flooded. Has this happened to any1, Why did this happen ? Water is leaking from the bottom bumper area as well.

Reseal the tail lights to the body with dum-dum (black strips) and your leak will stop.

make sure your rubbers are on good around the trunk and tighten your spoiler if you have one, i think it was my spoiler that was leaking a long time ago. i took off all of the linning in the trunk and there was the most condensation on the top lid. pita
and every car has the rubber plug to drain your trunk its reaaly handy

I occasionally have the same problem and I think it is around the tail lights that is leaking. Does AutoZone or Pep Boys or Advanced auto parts sell the black sealant strips that go around the tail lights?

I had that problem once, and I was determined to find wher eit was, eventually I found a hole (the size if a neddle head) on the edge of the rubber and metal. I sealed with silicon, and the trunk was perctely dry and fine after that. (remember needle sizre holes)

Since my car was hit in the rear (before I bought it) Mine was leaking on the passenger side at the window towards the bottom, I could see where the water was running on the plastics. I poured some flowable silicone in there and the leak stopped.

This should NOT happen. You need to locate the leak. One of your seals is bad. If it is not obvious which one, get in the trunk and close yourself in and have a friend hose the whole area down with a hose so you can find out where the water is coming from.
