Reverse sensor switch on manual tranny help

Has anyone had to adjust and or replace their reverse sensor switch on the manual tranny. My car is throwing a code for it, thus the reason they wont pass it on emissions in GA. I know its stupid, but if you have a cel light in GA no matter if its for a blown bulb you wont pass.

If you have maybe you can tell me where exactly its located on the tranny, etc. My hayes manual only shows the auto location.

It is very easy and cheap to replace this sensor in your transmission. It is located on the bottom of the trans, and uses one small bolt to retain it. Be aware though that removing this will cause you to lose ALL of the fluid inside the trans, so be prepared to catch it in something.

You can purchase the replacement sensor at the dealer for around $30. The hardest part of the job will be refilling the trans with fluid.
