Upgrading from 2 10"s to either 1 or 2 12"s: Any recommendations

Price range between $300 - $800. More of a combo SPL/SQ freak but it's hard to satisfy both so choice would be more for SPL. Something that's a solid performer, will be using either a JL1000/1 or a Hifonics 7500 as my amp choices.

out of his price range but, those sure would be nice.

I think they're $450-$500 retail.

BTW Manny you've heard the flatlines in Don's car, right? I've ordered two of them recently (waiting for them because Arc doesn't have any in stock right now). I was thinking about puting them in a small sealed box (0.7-0.9 net cu. ft. ea.) Do you think they'll go low enough in a small sealed box or should I go bigger. Maybe I should ask don.

Sorry for jacking the thread.

Second on the Flatlines. Also look at the TDX/D9's from Diamond. Both solid choices.

That's funny I'm "upgrading" the other way around.

From 1 12incher to 2 10inchers.

Oh, and to be constructive to this thread, yes the Flatlines sound ridiculously nice.

Me too....just fits hits price range, and will move nice with the power he has.

Dont get it twisted, it has excellent attack and decay for SQ used properly...but you noticed Don and his love for his sub level

Baahhaha you used Mariah for Dan too?

I can't believe how much noise there is in the background of a REAL cd.

Yea its pretty sad. I have to dig up some of my other CDs. When I played the F1 and Focal discs Dan looked at me like I was gonna make a pass at him, so I backed off quite quickly.
