P0300 Related to Grounding Wire kit?

Just pulled a P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder misfire code today. Installed a ground kit on saturday, and Im curious to know if these issues could be inter-related. Im hoping its just the ground kit and not something more serious like Coils...

I doubt it's related to the grounding kit. I have gotten that code a few times. Twice it went away by itself in a few days and the other time I cleared it (OBDII)

I have a grounding kit but it was installed over a year before I got the code. Never figured out what caused it......I was figuring it may have been from coming close to killing it a few times. Had the system up loud and wasn't paying attention to the tach when letting out the clutch.

yep, i get a p0300 every once in a while, usually after the fuel trims have adjusted to a few n2o pulls and the adaptive strategy is coming back down.

how many miles on the car? have you checked fuel pressure during a WOT pull?

Have 42000 miles on the car now, and no I have not had a chance to check fuel pressure. Code dissapeared so hopefully its just a random thingo.

yes, its usually an intermittent condition, especially if you cant readily feel the misfire/vibration.

I get it once in awhile...it bugs becuz I don't have an OBDII scanner...I use the gas pedal method and it takes forever!

i also get the EVAP gross leak once in awhile too....p0455 i think...just 1 mongh ago I had that code come up 3 days within each other...I thought something was wrong since it came back immediately....now it's been SES free... :knock on wood:
