2k Lower IM swirl valves

I am attempting to remove these, as i left them in when i did the install, i just jb welded the outer holes (2) but im noticing that without the rod (for butterfly valves) the holes between each cylinder are wide open (not sealed). When you guys sealed the outer two holes did you also seal these? im assuming air will cross between cylinders, causing a loss in efficiency....

I noticed that no one has even brought these holes up, should i just leave them open?

Thoughts?
