Gasoline smell in car when heater is turned on

All fuel lines are tight and no leaks in Injectors. Anyone had this problem and how can I fix it. I only get the gas smell when I turn on the heater otherwise no smell and have no problems with the fuel filter. Thanks.

If you can smell the gas pretty strong I would check your fuel filter

This happened to me right after I bought the car last January (the temperature then was about -40)

There was a short (3"-4") length of fuel hose in the engine compartment with clamps on both ends that apparently became a little loose and leaked gasoline. With the hood open, the hose is easy to see right on top of everything. It is between the intake manifold and the air filter, right below the throttle and cruise control cables (near the center of the engine compartment, slightly to the driver's side). Check that out. You may need a new hose or to simply re-tighten the clamps. If that hose is leaking, you will be able to see drops of gasoline dripping when the engine is running.
