are you doing this along with a 5 spd swap? or why exacly do u want to use it? im going to assume sense your swapping to a 5 spd (according to your sig) that you want a 5 spd ECU aswell and sense your getting the tranny out of an 00/01 you also have easy access to the ECU from that car aswell? am i close lol. I dont think anyone has really wanted to put one in a 4th gen sense theres really nothing that you would bennifit from using one. I would think youd prolly have to take the whole engine harness out and swap to the 5th gen one and rewire almost everything that it attaches to sense alot of it has differnt plugs. Also the fact that some of the sensors on the DEK have no place on the 4th gen engine or are a differnt type that wouldnt bolt on the engine ect.

99's have the security chip built into the ECU. I dont think the 99 is compatible with the earlier 4th gens.
