Need rear calipers...Advice...

I think my rear passenger side caliper is hanging up... I had that smell the other day and it was really HOT! compared to my others... Happened to me on my 98 about a year ago, replaced one then the other went 500 miles later. Can someone tell me where to get two rear calipers at for a 95 max, I just got new brake pads and rotors also, is it possible that this one is alittle off and can be adjusted?? Thanks
BTW- I would like to know opinions on calipers and where to get them anyways...

The rear calipers on our cars are prone to failure.
Try your local auto parts store, AutoZone carries them.
Replace both for even rear braking performance.

Cool, thanks for the tip... and I paid $190 for my last rear caliper so I am atleast going to try to beat that.. Are these difficult to install?? Is it just like changing brake pads??

Pretty simple, just 2 bolts. Remove, clean and lube the guide pins when you change the caliper. You'll have to bleed the brakes really good after opening the system.

I was quoted $40 for the part & $75 for the labor for the Right Rear Caliper from Pep Boys. Midas quoted me $140 parts & labor plus an extra $50 for bleeding.
Can't beat that pep boy price.

I just ordered one today from autozone. $59.99 plus a $62.00 core charge, reman unit.

This is unloaded so i also bought pads and a new rotor. Yep, mine was hangng up on the way into work today so bad that i had to turn around after a few blocks and return home and drive my truck in.

Is this failure prone to stock calipers only or do aftermarket and stock fail all the same?

dont know, but in my case, it wasnt the piston that failed, but rather the sliding rods that move back and forth were all gunked up with crud. I cleaned them all up and cleaned the holder for them with brake cleaner, brushed it all out, dried it, then used high temp grease on the rods. Chances are thats whats wrong with most people whose calipers are sticking.
