eBay FSTB owners, washers?

For those of you who have the ebay FSTB...how many washers did you place under the FSTB bracket to raise up the whole bar from hitting the IM? I have an issue with mine...so I'm thinking of adding washers...just don't know how many...

pictures would be nice too...thanks!

Mine fit without washers. I guess you have to use the same thickness of washers as you need clearance. Trial and error.

I know there are two different kinds of bars from ebay...my first one was a bar that bent upwards (like stillen, otto) to avoid any clearance issues with the IM...my 2nd bar is the one that barely bends upwards...this is the one having issues becuz the lack of upward angle the bar has...

My eBay one looked like this:

Doesn't bend as much as the Otto but it didn't touch the IM either.

EDIT: Brain fart

hmm...screws on the bar changes only the length I believe...and mine is already maxed out...in other words, if I change the length to any other position than what it is right now, then the bar will not fit the brackets what so ever...

I'm heading to Lowes this afternoon to pick up some washers...thanks for the help!

You're right, I edited my post. It shouldn't change the height once you have the length set.

No washers, here's mine:

HOWEVER, my FTSB does get in the way of a sensor, it's the blue one in the top right. It mounts real close to the strut tower next to the airbox on that one metal piece.

They are all the same... just find one that is in your price range and that is pleasing to the eye.

Are the 00-01 FSTB different from the 02-03??? Because of the clearance issues?

I have an 00 and my bar fits with no washers and looks fine, no need for washers unless IM for 5.5g is significantly taller.
