What is the rating on the 6th gen HIDs? Are they 6000K, 8000K, etc...
Just like the look of them, wondering what they are, thanks in advance.

 

I believe they are 4300k in power. 6000k and above are aftermarkets.
I have 7000k and they look Blue/Purple/White in color

No, 4100k, standard OEM & they are made by Philips Sylvania, the projector lens is Valeo.

 

I know the temp dictates the output of light/color but............



IT'S NOT WHY YOU SEE THE COLOR YOU SEE

you see the pretty blue because of the cutoff for the low beam. the projector reflects off of it to give a blue. You only see it at certain angles.

 

People will forever think that the kelvin temp of the bulb is what gives you the BMW HIS look when BMW's use 4100k Bosch lights, and it also has to do with the type of projector, but everything to do with the shutter. High Kelvin HID bulbs give a dim purple or blue output akin to cheap ricer blue halogen bulbs.
