It's an easy install, and there are a lot of knowledgable .Org Texans out there. So post this in the regional forums for better luck, unless you want to fly me out there, I'd be glad to do it.
haha how about florida? i think you should do some more research and learn how to do it yourself. that way if somethign goes bad you can fix it with out taking it somewhere. its is a fairly easy job. you may struggle as its not as easy as an oil change but i wouldnt say its a professional job.
First i suggest you read this...

and dont skim. ha i did that and it caused more harm then good. read it fully. There is ALOT of useful info there. The hardest part of the MEVI install is the vacuum hosing. As far as the manifold goes, its just a couple bolts.
A suggestion for when u take off the vacuum lines is to put tape on the hose and where it goes with the same number. this is so you can take it off the hoses off the manifold and still refer back to it to see where it went.
It took me roughly 5 hours to install mine. but this included lunch, bathroom breaks, some tv, some reference back to the org, run to the store for hose, and taking the dog out. If i had to do it again i could bang it out in 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
If you have any question feel free to ask me. i dont mind answering them.

can you come to Austin?
If so, Stephenmax could knock it out rather quickly. A lot quicker then I can.
PM him.
The main issue I had was getting the dang thing to open. that was due to me not being familiar with the Summit switch

But yeah, I've heard the gains are better throughout the RPM band, unlike the MEVI that apparently has a bad low end lag (especially in automatics), which supposedly can only be improved with an upgraded ECU. Be sure to read about both, but most people will lean towards the 00VI.-Maurice
