I have been using the XTREME White PIAA bulbs for the last 3 weeks, and now, one has died.

i inspected it, and looks normal. i tried testing it on my other headlight, and i believe the bulb is defective.

the bulb has no signs of death. looks completly normal.

my question, has anyone had success with getting replacement bulbs from a PIAA dealer (1 yr warrenty), and any idea how long it takes to get a replacement?

Hmm weird, I have used PIAAs for a long time, never had a headlight go out, the fogs go out about 3-6 months depends how often you use them. If you touch the bulb, now that I can believe for 3 weeks.

Better yet, save yourself $40 and buy some Phillips Blue Vision bulbs at K-Mart or Costco. Depending on where you get them, it will be $18 to $30 for a pair of them.

Yes, both look just as good. Phillips is actually rated higher in lumens, while the PIAAs tend to overconcentrate their light in one specific spot to claim that 45w=65w on low beam and 65w=85w on high beam garbage marketing tactic......

I had a pair warrantied out before I think it took like a week or two. All you have to do is fax them a copy of your receipt along with an explanation.

Try calling PIAA and tellin' them that maybe they'll take your win confirmation as a receipt or something.

I work for a PIAA dealer here in San Diego, CA
The warranty on the PIAA bulbs are 1 year over the counter
exchange. Since you bought them on E-bay, you might want
to give PIAA a call at 1-503-643-7422 or PIAA.com
I've had luck giving PIAA's number out even though they did
not buy them at my store and they were more than willing to
exchange it. Where do you live at? I might be able to refer you to one of my other dealers where you live. We
have about 130+ stores nationwide under the name Tweeter.
