Key fob programming

Do any of you know where I can find the programming for a 96 Maxima (preferably for free)? I found one thru a search that is for a 97 to 99 and it did not work on my 96. I have seen mention of the 93 to 96 series key fobs, but not the programming. The fobs are being sold as 95 to 98 series being the same, but are the cars different?
Guys, I appreciate your response.

The info is in the FAQ, post #39. I just used that exact procedure to program a 1997 infiniti i30 remote to work with my 95 GLE, worked great. Hope this works for you...

Assuming you know you have keyless entry/alarm - blinking security light means you do, the instructions posted by kb will work, and any remote from 95-98 will work

The instructions on the vqpower page recommend you insert the key 6 times, but I should let you know I needed to insert / remove mine about 10 times before the hazards flashed. Just keep inserting / removing until you get the blink. Hope this helps

Thanks guys, I bought the car from a lady I work with and it had two key fobs. She had the car for about eight years. She said one fob quit working years ago and one quit more recently. One had a dead battery and one was ok. I replaced the dead battery and still neither one works. I found a procedure like the one noted that said it was for a 97 to 99 and tried it. I never did get the flashers to blink, but tomorrow, as suggested, I will try more cycles with the key than six in ten seconds and see if that works.
I just won another keyfob off ebay that is supposed to be good, so we will see how that works when I get it.
Again, thanks for the reply and if there are anymore suggestions, they are appreciated.

Just pointing out this is easy to overlook, but you must have all doors closed for it to flash. I tried this several times, before i realized one of my rear doors wasnt fully closed.
