S-Tech with AGX spring turning in the strut..
I have the spring noise (popping) where the spring rotates inside of the strut when (steering) wheel is turning. What is the fix for this?
This noise is comming from the front? Does it occur every time you turn the wheel or occationally?
If you need me, I can be by with a spring compressor (if needed) and we can try to isolate the noise. I wasnt getting such a noise.Top three bolts were tighten down right?

Reseat the spring in the upper rubber perch making sure it sits evenly. Make sure the word out, stamped on the upper perch faces outwards or is in line with the struts lower mounting flange. Then regrease or replace the strut bearing.

this is the strut bearing?
I'm having the same noise, althoguh I only notice it when i'm pulling out of the garage. I expect it every time, and it happens every time. I'l take a look at it. Thanks for starting the thread, I wasn't even sure what was making the noise.

The bearing was completely dry.
any time i've ripped apart my suspension to change something or otherwise rehauled it i've just replaced the strut bearings and mounts at the same time. it's a $150 investment that could save you $500 in labor at a shop or 3-4 hours of your own work.
regreasing the bearing isn't too hot of an idea because it usually goes bad much sooner than just replacing it. it's like a $20 part anyway. just replace it and save yourself the hassle of doing it again.
