Dyno'd 2001 Auto AE

Finally got to dyno mycar today.

173 bhp
199 torque

Stillen Y-pipe, Muffler, Berk Intake.

VI is working great. Opens up at 5200 rpm and you see the torque and power just climb from there!

I'll post the dyno sheet later on.

Numbers seem kinda low. I thought 00-01 auto's made 180hp stock.

well if you look at that link above, that guys 2000 auto maxima only dyno'd 185 to the wheels with more mods then me, but less torque. I'm not to worried after i do my 5 spd conversion!

He did not even have a y-pipe at the time, and that is not with the N2O...

Your hp numbers are low, any maint. you have missed??

I need to get mine on a dyno, I am just saving it for when I get an VAFC...

i have never seen an 00-01 auto dyno 180 stock. the best i have seen was around 186 and that with the more important bolt ons. with that said, the hp seems low but torque seems high. what gear were the pulls done and what machine was it run on?

well i'll take a picture of the graph tomorrow, but i showed it to my brother and he said that the graph had a spike on it. Something went wrong. So i think the 199 torque is wrong. But if you think about 25% power loss due to an automatic comes out to about 166 to the wheels.

hrmm for maintenance...i've done all the necessary maintenance... maybe a bad knock sensor?.. but, no check engine lights have came on yet and the car pulls really hard IMO. You think i should get my timing advanced also?

It was about 74 degrees inside the building and pretty humid also.. would that be a factor also?

It was a 3rd gear pull with overdrive off.

Its a possibility that your 13" Cobra rotors contribute to the lower than usuall WHP. When I took off my 04 Maxima 12.6" rotors the car felt more responssive than ever, weight diff was 10lbs compared to OEM rotors. I would have to say the diff was like installing a Ypipe on my Max in terms of my butt dyno. This is why I do not like big brake kits, they look bling n all but take some of the power away- and me on like that.

I hate to say it but it looks like I'am the record holder for 5gen autos. On the dyno, my car made 193.55whp with an ecu problem, and 4 bad 02 sensors.

My tq was also like 211!!!!

2 of my 02 sensors are in my trunk and have been for my last 9 runs. Could be my area under the curve problem.

With our luck, he wont have his run files, all too common.

Why didn't you get these items checked off before you went to the dyno?

Dynoing with known problems seems useless.

What going Sloppy, long time no see. The car was done in 3rd gear with the O/D off. And I the numbers are SAE correct.

You know that's right, the truth is I don't know how to post with hosted pictures. I need to learn.

I really just went for tuning, but didn't know it will be a problem.......

Those are strong numbers. If you do go for tuning again, I would suggest they do the runs in 2nd just because 3rd takes forever and increases the rate at which heat soak sets in. SR replaced the oem fuel pump with me last night so hopefully after a few more little things I will be back on the rollers.
