buy a different 3rd brake light and mount it up high in the window.

make your own brake light using LEDs and make a mounting bracket to fit the location you want it at and run wires from existing brake lights. Or find a way to make a custom bracket for the brake light you have and do the same thing. Or possibly find an aftermarket one that goes higher. I have no idea if they make them.

Such as my BMW, and they get rear ended as well.

What makes you think a higher 3rd brake light will prevent a rear end collision?

I think you just have crappy drivers there. Either that or grandma keeps mashing the brake pedal.

If they dont see your normal brake lights lit up, I dont think a 3rd brake light no matter where it is put will make a difference.

SUV's get rear ended just as much as any other car on the road, maybe even a bit more because of the way the owners drive them.

Maximas are everywhere thats why, not because of the positon of the brake light(s). It is easy to add more brake lights, alot easier than moving the existing one, get a horizontal bar type led brake light and mount on the top of the back window and tap into the other brake light.

It's not the Maximas that are getting into accidents. It's the old ladies driving them.

Get an SE with a spoiler. Yeah, I really doubt that moving your brake light higher will help you avoid an accident. If you want to avoid an accident for sure then a) dont drive, b) move somewhere where there are no cars, c) somehow make everyone around you a good driver.
