2k1.. What should I go for with dealer?
I'm by far an expert on dealing with dealers... but I want a fair deal. I'm shooting for a fully loaded 2001 SE. What is a good deal I should go for? (how much under msrp, or how much under/over invoice?) Thanks!!

A little Difficult....but Good Luck
You may be in a better situation than me. Almost 2 months ago I traded in my 99Max-SE which was leased with 57,500 miles on it, an about 20,000 miles over mileage penalty. I walked away with a $27,900 2001-SE straight off of the truck with 3 test miles for $500.00 per month (Financing for 60 months) at 11% interest. It will vary, but just remember that every dealer has some dealer holdback dollars buried into their bottomline an you can't go below that invisible line. But hey! this is my 3rd Max......an WHAT A CAR!!
<2% over invoice
imo
see if another dealer in town has the same car and then play them off of one another - always get the out-the-door price to be sure there are no hidden extras. do it all on the phone - if you can - it's a lot less intimidating that way.
start off negotiations with 2% over invoice + tax, tags, title, & destination. figure it all out yourself before you call them. keep in mind that they get a holdback bonus of up to 3% of msrp, and probably other $$ from nissan for quantity sales and good customer report cards.

I find that if you were able to pay the entire amount up front it makes it alot easier. According to Consumer Reports $500 over invoice price is fair. Also if you pay sticker price consider yourself raped! I would suggest taking out a loan like that from a bank if the interest rate was simular or lower. Then show up at the dealer with the exact model and options you want on your car. Tell them you have the entire about cash and that is what your gonna pay out the door. You should try to get different qoutes from other dealers too. Its alot easier to get a car if you have the cash up front (or in this case a money order). Then you just pay the bank back. Also you can have it where they take the amount directly out of your savings or checking account so that you never miss a payment.
Auto Loaded
More like striped
Sory Kids But an auto Max as Loaded I think NOT
Everything you mentiond Minus the ato would be loaded.
I remember a day when the 5 speed SE cost more.
Go to a used lot you will generaly pay more for a 5 speed.
Sad aint it. I luve mine.
