Any Fellow 5th Geners Have Sirius? How Do You Have It Mounted?

I have the Starmate and I was wondering how I could mount it so it looks clean. I don't like the ugly bulky suction cup thing that came with the car kit. I was wondering how other 5th geners have their satellite radio receivers mounted and how and where they ran the antenna.

Here's mine. I ran the antenna behind the dash to the driver's side, then down the left side of the car to the trunk. From there, I ran it outside the trunk, up the window channel and to the top center of the rear roof. The antenna tucks under the rubber seal all around the rear window. Do this and it'll look just like factory.

I have a kenwood tuner hooked up to my Kenwood DDX7015. I have the antenna mounted on the front dash, either to the right or left of the headlight sensor (can't remember which side).

I did another A33 with a sportster where I handmade a panavise type bracket that mounted the radio to the right of HU.

Super6 your set up is really nice looking. Where did you get that arm and how does it install there? I don't want to drill any holes in the dash.

There are websites that make brackets for xm/sirius satellite radio units. They mount using the existing radio holes behind the dash, and it comes out like an L. They are custom fit for a maxima. Try this website: http://www.pro-fit-intl.com/xmradio/

I have the H2E Kenwood Sirius reciever and have it mounted via provided suction bracket. It's setup in the lower left corner. I ran the antenna underneath the plastic wire loom cover by the doorsills and into the trunk, then mounted to the decklid. For the moment I am using the cigarette lighter to power it until I can do a proper hardwire to the fuse box.

I have my antenna mounted simular to Igor911 up on the center of the dash. I have had it for a couple of months and have seen no problems with the reception. The reciever is mounted just like lexusviper84, above the HVAC vents with some velcro. I was able to tuck the power wire into the crease between the trim and the dash down to the cig lighter since I have not had time to hard wire the power. I also have a dash cover that works really well at hiding the wiring. I have had problems with getting a clear signal from the Sirius FM modulator, I was getting alot of static no matter which frequency I tried. I don't know if this was caused by the Sirius unit or the crappy reception that the factory HU has. I solved this by using one of those audio tapes that allows you to plug into an external audio source. It sounds so much better now!
