I'm just curious because ever since i installed my intake the light turned on since there was no hole to plug in the air temp. meter thing. Anyone do anything about it or had to live with it like i did ?

I'm actually wondering my-self how to compensate for that sensor, because I will be installing an intake when it arrives on Monday and I definately want to remove the ugly scoop

I don't know exactly what the sensor looks like, but is it possible for you to make a hole in the intake? I'm sure it's made of plastic or rolled aluminum, it's probably not hard to make a hole in it that is similar to the hole in the stock intake system...

IMO, living with MIL/CEL/SES is never okay.

Never install an intake that doesn't compensate for the MAF (tube). You have to have the MAF in between the filter and the TB. Get off **** azz Ebay and buy a real intake (Berk, Frankencar, PR, Injen, etc.).

He is talking about the air temp sensor... Not the MAF

Anyway, I have mine taped to the front of my battery and I have no light for it.

Woops, I see. Why would you unplug that connector anyway?

No, I just figured the only reason why he'd have a CEL is because he unplugged it.

ehhhh....

Your options are:
1. leave snorkel in
2. zip tie to something like the positive battery cable
3. buy a injen CAI which has the hole for the air intake temp sensor
4. drill a hole to make the sensor fit (IMO not recommended)
5. leave it dangling

I've never had a problem. My intake has been on for 20,000+ miles.
