Mission Impossible?

What's up guys?
I asked Ceasars Chariot what i should do to me 96' maxima to beat a 06' ford mustang.
He gave me some suggestions, and also told me to ask guys in 1/4 and 1/8Mile Racing.
His suggestion:
vq35de engine swap

if that is not an option, then you will have to get a ypipe from warpspeed, the cheap aluminum one, a jwt ecu with rev limit extender, to go with your OOVI. which is swapping the 2000-2001 upper intake manifold and tossing yours in the trash.

you will need to buy light weight wheels, like ssr competions or anything you can find that is 16 inch or better yet 15's to put up front with a drag radial, or a light toyo proxes t1r

you need to keep your wheel/tire combo under 32-34 lbs.

a simple route would be to add a nitrous system and a warpspeed ypipe. you would give him a tough time then ! lol !
Money isn't a problem, but if i can do it cheaper with just about same results, then thats awsome! I'm not that knowledgeable about cars, but i'm getting into them.
I have a regular 96' max. Nothing done to it yet.
V6
Automatic
He has:
06' Mustang (NOT GT)
And pretty sure it's a v6. 4.0L
He's in school rite now, but i will confirm all his spec's later on today.
What should i do to it? From exhuast system to air intake..whatever.
I will have all of it done by this summer, because i will be betting my boy. He just bought a 06' Mustang. He said, "its impossible for me to beat him, just because he has a larger engine".
THANK YOU FOR READING!!!!!!!!

hey dude, when you guys hit the dragstrip, i don think this will be mission impossible for you if this is a v6 mustang, if it was mustang gt, then yeah MI, lol. also do you have a dragstrip n your area ? i would go ahead and make set a day to go out and and run the car stock.

Then when y pipe comes in and some of your other mods, go back to track. dont tell your buddy your doing this, lol !

Oh, i'm not
I drove my car around for about 2 months with a busted front. So everyone thinks my maxima is really bad. So i'm gonna hold ooff on the body-kit and the appearance. My front is fixed now though. After i'm done with my car's performance; i'm gonna race people. Then the money that i gain from racing, i'll invest on the appearnce.

Good luck with that. In my two years of racing, I've barely made over $200 dollars from racing. Lol.

Fastest A32 3.0L auto was ~ 14.3.. so it shouldn't be a problem if you know what to do.

I always found removing one of the oponents spark plugs worked VERY well, and if it didnt work or I couldnt get to them, thats ok, drainging the oil usually did the rest for me

good luck racing him!

Those new v6s are no slouches though, nothing like the previous v6's. I went up against another auto just to see what they did and it spanked me. Maybe if I was 5 speed it would have been close, but thankfully we let off before it got real ugly. They have mad top end. Good luck with this one
