Lowered w/ rear sway bar?

I was reading in the instalation instructions that you should have the car on ramps when you are doing this. This is kinda a problem since my car is four inches off the ground in the rear. Last time I used boards to roll onto the ramps they actually broke because I had to use boards that were too long. So my question is...do you really need the car to be on ramps when putting on a rear sway bar? Any advice from people who have done it? Could I possibly put the car on stands and the jack the rear wheels up to where they normally would sit then put stands under them as well? I want to do this tomorrow, so any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Well, I would possibly suggest it because of the trailing arms being aligned with the suspension to make it easier to install. And I thought I read something about the suspension needing to be under load while doing this process. Someone help me out if I am wrong though. How about you jack it up to put the ramps under the wheels? I know an off the wall suggestion but cant say I didnt try.

I am not sure if my kit will clear even if I do that. I think I will try putting stands under the tires unless someone comes up with something better, or has other advice. I may try what you suggested Q, I am not sure if I can clear my body kit at that angle.

dude, it's real easy, you just need to get underneath it and be able to bolt it to the beam, so as long as what your lifting the car with doesn't interfere w/ the location of the bar, you'll be fine.

I use 2'' blocks under the front where you drive up to raise it then take a 8' to 4' piece 8" wide and place that on the ramp, it will make the grade alot less steep. The more you lift the front and the longer ramp boards you use the less the incline. Don't tighten everything all the way until it is on the ground.

Or since your car is lowered pretty low and you have a body kit, tighten everything before it is back on the ground.

that's the same thing I was thinking. Unless I can put everything on loosley. THen lower the car down and jack the front up enough for me to be able to get to the rear beam and tighten everything up.

He's saying his front bumper body kit may hit the ground because of how low he is if he does that. He is trying to find a way to get the front bumper not to scrape the ground.

That's what I normally do but in the write up it says the guy from Addco says that the suspension should be loaded while doing this. If I do what you are saying the wheels will just be hanging down and the suspension will be unloaded.
