replacing tps what position to screw it on at?

the 2 screws on the tps go through those thin long holes which allow movement of the TPS. should i make it to where the screws are in the middle, cause this makes the butterfly valve open a bit.
i dont know what position to put it in ! i need help kind of quickl ycause i want to put the car back together.

unfortunately even with the "how to" i cant do it. i have a voltage meter and its just not giving me any reading on the TPS. i dont know what to do, i cleaned the IACV as well so i know this could be playing another variable so really all i can do is go by the voltage meter for whether the TPS is positioned correctly.
i've never really used a voltage meter before...but i need help...

You're going to have to "back probe" the sensor - putting pins into the "gummy" area of the sensor, where the wiring goes into the sensor. From there, you can use alligator clamps to connect the voltmeter to the pins, and get a reading. Let me know if you need a better explaination, it's been a long time since I did this.
