How are u trying to get it off? Assuming that the bolt on the 3.5 goes in the same way as the 3.0(which I dont see why it wouldnt), the easiest way is the breaker bar/ starter trick. In case ur not familiar with it....
-Disconnect the CPS just under the pulley
-Lookin at the pulley straight on, place a socketover the bolt on a long breaker bar, and have the end of the bar resting against the ground towards the front of the car
-Have some one just crank the motor (a bleep not even a second long is usually long enough)
-The crank turns to the left, and by not allowing the bolt to move due to the breaker bar being wedged against the ground, it'll loosen itself.
Good luck

I was using 2 different air guns and then myself and a friend, combined weight of 500lbs pushing on a breaker bar with a pry bar wedged in the crank pulley and after 3 hours we gave up. Which was is the bolt to loosen-traditional or left hand thread?

See what I mean about no one has a concrete answer? The nissan dealer said it was normal right hand thread meaning the traditional loosen applies but if I read your post correctly I have to aim toward the back of the car to loosen......

The post you just made says this exact same thing.

That is what they mean by 'right hand thread'. You turn it to the right to tighten it. Righty-tighty Lefty-Loosey.
If it were left hand thread it you would turn it to the left, or counter clockwise to tighten it.
I finally got it off, the starter bump did not work, I used a chain with a J hook on it attatched to a strap attatched to an Excursion to hold the pulley in place and using a breaker bar the bolt finally came off. It is right hand thread and is loosened the normal way, thanks for all the advice and help.
I am glad you finally got the thing off. But it shouldn't have been that difficult to remove in the first place. It sounds like the people in Smyrna were misbehaving when they built your car.
