What do you mean closing it? The latch doesn't match or what? You have to adjust the bolt area to make it fit. I also think you should take off your hood struts cause it was made to lift stock hood weight not some light CF hood. Also where did you purchase your CF hood and how much. Thanks

Depends on who made his hood. I am using the hood struts and its fine with my hood, not too strong, its just right.

Mine closes just fine, it wont latch so I unbolted it and left it out of the way and just use hood pins.

i not sure whats wrong with it, at times it takes about 5 min before i can actually close it, the hook on the hood and the latch on the car seem like they dont want to go together and click shut, sumtimes it will close right away and sumtimes its an hassle. and i got it at carbonefx; cf hood + cf eyelids for 450 shipped.

Hood pins are good, there on there tight as its the only thing holding the hood down. I would use the latch but the latch on the hood just doesnt seems to be strong enough to push into the latch on the car. So I just use pins and it hold well, many long distance car rides with no worry.

Pop your hood and loosen the bolts on your latch and try to move it up more or which ever direction would give it proper clearance or no resistance.

my hood pins were some generic ones I got off ebay. They hold up very well.

not sure what you mean by 5" or 6" pins. My hood pins are this style.

yea i have problems shuttin my cf hood sometimes but all you gotta do is put both hands down on the hood near the latch and push it down quick and hard but not too hard and it should work it might take you a few times but you'll get it..
