My neighbor was knocking on my door around 4am to tell me some one hit my car. I came outside and my car was knocked across the street into my other neighbors car. I think they are going to total it. So I thinking about getting a 99max se 5-speed since my old car was a 96se auto. I have a y pipe, muffler, injen cai, straut bar, full audio/video system, stillen front lip, and b & g lowering springs. I have just have to caulk up the painted brake caipers and custom stickers

You can transfer your mods and painted calipers to the new 4th gen or a 1st gen I30. Atleast you weren't in the car and you weren't hurt in the accident. Hopefully your insurance will pay out quickly and not jerk you around.

 

SO what happend?? Was it a drunk driver? I had stuff like that happen before, i am lieing peacefully in bed, car sleeping outside, everything in the world is a-ok, then BANG!!! Some moron who shouldnt be on the road cant even avoid crashing into a parked car. One time they got away, another time it happend it was a chick in hyndai tiburon (tiburon..like what the hell is that anyways? sounds like some kind of terrible disease.. "my uncle got tiburon cancer from smoking")

 

i forgot my car understeered and tryed to get my back end to fly out around that corner, instead i slammed into you....sorry man...

yo i hate to hear that. sorry actually just happend to me right after christmas but it was my neon. but get this it was a physco ex, but if you are selling im interested in y pipe and springs but i would jsut transfer everythign over sept the lip cause your getting a 99

At least you weren't in the car. The same thing happened to my friends 94 probe gt. He parked in front of his friends house and 30 seconds after he got out of the car, a drunk came flying down the road doing about 60 mph and slammed right into the front of his car and spun it accross the street. The drunk was fine and kept trying to start his car to leave so they ripped him out of the car and grabbed his keys and wouldn't let him leave until the cops got there and arrested him for a DWI. He got screwed pretty bad too. That thing had about 75,000 miles on it and the insurance company only gave him 3,000 so he ended up getting a mitsubishi mirage with about 100,000 miles on it and hes had nothing but trouble with it. At least he's alive.

damn hyndai's, thats what hit my car and a girl driver too. either she was drunk or feel asleep cause there was no skid marks on the ground from her trying to stop, my neighbor said he did not see the crash but heard it and when he came outside seen her backing up and pulling off

yeah the guy at the body shop said he will do a est. and if the car is totaled which it most likely will be that I can take everything off but have to put something back in it's place

 

I might sell the parts not sure have to see whats year max I get, I am thinking 99se 5-speed .. I'll call budget to see if the ypipe will fit

damn dude that's ****ty....my brother's Celica got hit about a year and a half ago, but it was by my moms friend....it was sitting in the front yard as she turned onto our road, a deer ran out and she paniced and hit the gas and closed her eyes as she swerved....y she hit the gas is still beyond me, but anyways as luck would have it, she hit my bro's '02 Celica GTS head on and totaled it and her ford ZX2...your max looked awesome too man. i hope you get it all sorted out and come out on top....insurance will cheat you

Yeah I just came back from the bodyshop and they totaled the car and I took out the whole audio/video system wires and everything, rims y-pipe, injen cai, stillen lip, straut bar, I tried to take off the springs but the nut on the straut was too tight and I do not have a air gun so it loks like I will have to leave the springs and muffler but I got everything else, oh yeah and my clear bumber lens were cracked so I left that too, then my Mom calls and tell my my zex nitrous kit is there damn damn damn, now I have a brand new kit just collecting dust
Hey, anyone know if a stillen front lip for a 96 max will fit on a 98-99 and if a y-pipe for a 96 auto will fit on a 98-99 5-speed

 

Man i crashed my 96 GLE wit only 110k miles. Only damage was the bumper and the left fender. THe air bags were deployed and the insurance totaled it. I took the bumper off and the fender and there was no frame damage at all. Being that the air bags misfired and blew out months before the car accident.
