The fading steering wheel dilema

This is kinda noobish but like many i really want a nice steering wheel cover for my maxima. Id like something nissan/oem or as close to similar as possible.

Anyone have any ideas?

I know most of you will say go to walmart or autozone but i cant stand those cheap covers that smell like neoprene. Just seeing if anyone has any luck.

Thanks

I was meaning to make a thread like this. I wanted to find out what was the closest matching to the brown of my interior.

For you, you can just get black...

I used something like the wheel skins. It came out pretty good. It doesn't look far from stock.

Anyone using it with the brown/tan interior? If so what color did you get to match the stock wheel?

uh, stock is brown, but tan would match with the leather seats.

I would get oak and sand for a tan interior, the brown looks way to dark to match the dash. The oak looks like it would match the factory colored dash.

I have the euro-tone one with oak color sides and sand color top and bottom. Matches the brown and the leather real nice.

Thanks man. If you have black interior trim pieces then it might be OK.

Why not swap to a 97+ SE wheel? The airbag?

I already have the SE wheel.... Stock....

Too much work to swap a wheel. This is only 40 bucks.
Odds are a used wheel will be worn out too. On mine the leather is worn down to what looks like wood.

I got the perforated one to match my wheel exactly. Black perforated sides, black non-perf top and bottom. The wheel feels very good now, and it looks great as well. Make sure you take your time and be thorough when you install it, I spent a lot of time on mine and it came out really well except for a section I did in the very beginning. Pull all of your stitches very tight and keep them very tight.

Do you guys condition yours at all? Mine is fairly new, still being soft and supple and all, but am curious to know what a little conditioner might do.

I haven't conditioned mine at all, it's been at least 6 months and it's still pretty much the same as new.

No, but I clean mine with a Magic Eraser - it works really well.

Do you have any pics of the wheel cover? The oak looks a little lighter than the oem brown wheel. Pics of the brown cover would be great thanks.

Nice, I just picked up a box not too long ago to use on my door jams. Have to give it a go on my skin too. Thanks for the suggestion.
