it's missing two valves

could just be more/less carbon. middle cylinders/rear cylinders tend to run hotter.

ohhh, ok....maybe you had a leaky seal somewhere..... did you check compression before the belt broke????

that looks to me like a slight injector imbalance.. doesnt look like its enough to worry about. those valves are still pretty close in color.

Id say dirty injector causing a inconsistant pattern therefor incomplete air/fuel mixing. Just a guess tho. If you can have your injectors cleaned or flow balanced.

Going by the end of that plug it looks like that cylinder was running a bit on the lean side.

If you didn't notice any abnormal engine vibration or engine miss before the belt had snap, I wouldn't worry too much about it. But I would be curious like yourself. When you get your engine back together, start pulling and reading your spark plugs on a regular basis. Rotate your spark plugs, injectors, ignition wires and see if the problem goes to another cylinder

maybe the belt was too tight, and since you just installed the SAFC-2, it had so much power going throught the belt, it just ripped.......im being serious too.....just too much stres on the rubber belt, or maybe it was a defective belt????? is there ANY way to make a chain conversion??????? since you are running all that power?

Unlike a Chevy 350 that has conversion kits to convert your chain driven OHV to a belt driven set-up, this is a V6 FWD OHC engine s0o it's very impratical to convert a belt cam drive to a chain driven set-up

not to mention most chain driven setups are completely inclosed and are setup for oiling where belt drive systems aren't (well they are inclosed but not to the same degree as chains)

not to mention belts offer better harmonics and are "easier" on the valve train which is why all high end race motors use them. (but also those motors are <500 mile motors and the conversion kits start from $800+)
