Got my Timing Belt replaced By the STEALERSHIP!

Hey guys I got my timing belt, water pump, thermostat, and oil seals replaced by pomoco nissan (a local dealer) for my B-Day !!

I have a question though ......

I gave them 5 quarts of Castrol GTX to put in the car once they changed the oil seals but the oil was not used so am I to assume they never changed the seals? Do you think they used there own oil istead? The same oil filter was on the car when I got it back my K and N.

You have to drain the oil to replace the oil camshaft seals and the crank oil seals right ?

If not the oil would go everywhere right?

So please tell me nissan didn't screw me !!

To top off my uneasyness the AC now no longer works at highway speeds the compressor just cuts on and off and you can feel it while you are driving.

The drive to the Nissan Dealership I had the AC on and It was ICE COLD THE WHOLE WAY THERE and ever since we drove it home it has been screwed up!!

I don't understand Nissan sometimes!!

The oil is in the pan when the motor isn't running. But I'd ask them if they changed the oil. They should have.

I'd also ask if they took off any AC lines to perform this service. If they did, they probably didn't recharge the system.

Gotta love the dealership...

You should have done it yourself...Then you would have been sure it was done right...

I know I should have done it myself but I am 17 years old and not super super cocky and over confident like most ricer honda teenagers....

I am above them because I drive a luxury sports sedan!!!!

I hope they changed the seals and just didn't change the oil Because before you said that I was thinking the seals weren't changed at all !!

The seals were still in original packaging and I thought they might take them and sell them again (any other nissans use the same seals?)

Thanks

seriously though you might be OK because you can replace the seals without changing the oil unless you pull the pan to do the pan seals. Even then I guess you could do it if you dont spill the oil or get trash in it. I would still check on it though.

get run over by one?

I love mine and its fun to ride. Plus when you have 66 acres of land with a pond on it then it makes it easier to get around on.

what more on topic do you need. I answered your question in my response (although under the 4wheeler pic).

sorry for the PWing.

on the AC...like someone else said they may have undone your air lines but not charged it back up...or some just may have leaked out. Either way I would take it back to them and explain your problem.
