rattle from passenger front wheel only when I make a sharp left turn???

I have this metal rattling sound that is comming from my passenger front wheel, only when I make a sharp left turn??? almost like my wheel is making a exhaust shroud rattle or something, but I looked under the car, and the wheel is not contacting anything...
I know its not the CV joints, because I just put in new complete axles 2 months ago???
Help please..........

I've heard you can get that sound when your struts are bad. But I think those are housed within the CV boots, so maybe something is loose.

SINCE WHEN were struts housed within CV boots?

yeah bro, you didn't know, they started doing that back when they started to install carburators inside the catalytic converter, right next to the flux capacitor

If you're wheel is loose (jack up the car and wiggle the wheel with both hands) or if you feel play, it should be nothing more than the lower control arm/ ball joint that needs replacement.

Ok I just went and checked, and the wheel is not moving, so I guess it is not the lower control arm/ball joint...

Nineteens, Pillow-Biter, just like your age....
maybe if you actually sold a car or two at your job, you might actually be able to afford a set of your own

But as far as that being the cause of my rattle, not so... The rims were on the car when I bought it, and as I mentioned earlier, they have clearence when the wheel is turned, the tire is not rubbing anywhere...

Check and see if your bump stop is missing or cracked.

Checked it already, but thanks for the suggestion, I checked the suspension out today when I was checking for wheel shake.

Its the brake plate --

It may be the brake plate - (behind the rotor there is a metal plate that protects the rotors etc. ) If it bends than it rubs and makes the noise you describe.
The same thing happend to my 00. We must have hit a pot hole which caused it to bend.
it only happend when we made sharp left turns as well...so believe it was left side that was bent.
I had taken it to a mechanic and 40 bucks later no more rattle.
the explaination I gave is what the mechanic said...
:-)

Good Luck!!

Could it be worn or loose wheel bearing?

I had a similar problem on my daughter's 2000 max two weeks ago. I thought it might be wheel bearing or stops. Turned out to be a broken exhaust support (u-clamp?). My mechanic replaced the clamp and no more noise.

Mike YOU ROCK...
Pulled my wheel off, found that little shield thing, bent it as far away from the rotor as possible.....
Rattle IS GONE.....................
