abnormal engine noise when throttling

I don't think this is normal. recently I've being hearing nosie whenever I throttle a little bit too hard. The car doesn't have to be on the road for the engine to do this. I can just park the car and throttle on neutral and I can hear it...could this be anything major? thx for any help...

Timing chain tensioner worn out. You say you get a screw like sound it could be the timing chain hitting the case.

having similar issue

I am having a similar sound issue on my 98 MAX about 102K miles. I think I have a screw loose also that might have gone in the engine. So how to "take it out" or what is the best way to figure out the problem?

Thanks in advance.
