Okay what's my next purchase? Polish Pad

So here's the deal. I'm not some all out super dupity detailer. This is what I have.

Rotary grinder/polisher. It's okay I'm experienced with it. Not a pro but not bad.

Wool buffing pad. Old and new one. I've used it to polish before but I read wool ones are too rough for fine swirl removal.

Products: Mequires and 3M stuff since it's easy to buy and I'm used to them. From rough to fine: 3M polishing compound. Rough stuff I know. Mequire's #2 and #9. Also have their cleaner wax. Just bought their clay kit.

Now I think I can use the wool pad with the #2 and the cleaner/wax. But I'd like to buy a foam pad for the #9 or anything finer to finish it off.

Any recommendations. Does any local chain suppliers have a decent foam pad for my application?

Try the Lake Country white foam pad. They market it as a polishing pad and I've had very good results with it. About medium in the abrasive scale (wool would be very abrasive) The least abrasive would be the black pads.

Jeff: The wool pad is actually more aggressive than many foam pads. I would recommend the ones that Blues is suggesting as well as Propel pads.

Alternatives would be the Sonus SFX series.

I would probably skip the Wool pad. Makes more work than neccessary. Stick with a couple foam pads w/ the rotary. Should do the job.

Well I was wondering if I could use the wool for the #2 and rougher (if needed) and just buy one foam pad for swirl removal? Thanks for the suggestions
