Will these Wheels fit ?? Help
Alright, these are off of a 300ZX and I know enough to say that the bolt pattern will match up with the maxima, I just dont know if the size will work
My ultimate plan is to get a nice wheel for winter, that can clear a possible bbk.
The Fronts are 17x8 with a 42mm offset
and the Rears are 17x9 with a 38mm offset.
I have no idea of the size of the tire, but i will be going to look at them tomorrow. The guy ran them on his 92ish 300ZX with no problems.
Wheel guys, please chime in.
I would like for these to fit

the 17x8 is 16mm closer to the strut and sticks our an extra 22mm
the 17x9 is 25mm closer to the strut and sticks our an extra 39mm
I have 18x8 with a 42mm offset, so the 17x8 should fit, but the 17x9 may need a spacer.
My front clearance is very minimal BTW.

I gotta go look at them tomorrow and make a decision. They are Black SSR wheels with a polished lip. They are pretty sweet looking I just wanna make sure they work.

Well some guys run 15mm or even 20mm spacers in the rear. With this combo its like have 17x8 all around with 17mm spacers out back. That will give a nice look front to back. Im just worried that the rears will touch the strut. I know there are people with crazy staggered setups. But they picked the correct offset before hand. The 9's are only 9mm closer to the strut. I'm thinking there is plenty of room, depending on tire size.

Im going to get the tire size and post back up. I gotta also see if theres meat left on the tires.
I thought you said above that they are 25mm closer to the strut.

The 1st post was differences from a stock 6.5" wheel with a 45mm offset to the new wheels. Then I compared those wheels to my wheels, seeing as mine are close to the 17x8 and have the same 42mm offset.

Well just went to look at them. A little bit of a correction from the top numbers
Fronts:
17x8.5 +42 offset
Tires: 245/45/17
Rears:
17x9.5 +42 offset
Tires: 285/40/17
The rears are HUGE...Probably not going to work ?

I had 16x8 SSR Comp Anthr. with the polished Mach lip 42mm offset I believe and those bishes ran man $275 per wheel and that was pretty damn decent. Some bastard stole them before I could put them on, they were at my friends house (not a bad neighborhood either).. moral buy em anyways and keep them safe, then sell em. cause I dont think they will fit.
I want to say a 15mm or high spacer should do the job.
I guess trial and error will let you know if you really can run it, put it on, see what it hits, move it out 5mm, 10mm, 15mm see if that helps and gives clearance. If so then a spacer will solver the problem (rubbing may also be an isssue with the top of the wheel well or arch).
