bose cd system faded?
hi, the weirdest thing happened yesterday. i was listening to a cd on the stock cd/casset headunit (bose) that came on my 97 maxima. when i got 2 the light i went 2 change the cd and i noticed the screen's led lights werent lighting up (there was nothing the screen went black). i turned it on and off a few times it did nothing. has this happened to anyone else? i even took the car to a friends shop where he unplugged the headunit then re plugged it in. didnt help. when he installed his pioneer in the car it worked fine. my bose didnt work in his subaru either. any ideas? i've been lookin around the forums for another radio. if anyone has one that works and can spare it to someone in need,
i'd appreciate it. if u have a cheap one that would be nice too. thanks in advanced.

Your bose hu is going out try to replace it as soon as possible. Here is another link that I think will help you. Starting at post 20 (but most of the post before that are as useful as well), there is some useful information.
