It's finally here!!!!

Well as some of you may remember i ordered and put my Cf dash kit on only to notice that the glove compartment was not right it wasn't wide enough so i email the guy i bought it from and asked him if there was anything that could be done took a pic and showed him. He got a hold of the manufacturer and the process begun!!!

At first the company said sorry we will make a new one and send it out about a month later i emailed back seller got a hold of them and they responded that the were out of CF and they were expecting a shipment in soon so another month passed than the manufacture said that the CF received was defective and that they needed to exchange it. finally the got the CF in and than they asked if i could send them some dimension since obviously the mold they had was wrong. So i do and they say due to the curvature they would need much better dimension and if i could send them a template. So i did 1 better and sent the glove box plate.

Now due to this mess up the seller refunded me back like $30 for the inconvenience not that they had to because they were making sure it was being corrected.

Now the manufacture said that since this whole ordeal was there mistake they would do this for free (i wouldn't have done it any other way) and that they would only make this one and them send me back the "mold" so that i would be the only one. as far as how much truth there is to that who knows but that's what they claim.

So today i get home from work and my roommate tells me that i have a package i just ordered some stuff off EBay last night and i know DAMN well now one has that good of shipping. So i open it to my surprise and there is my new glove box CF piece. I had almost forgot about it with all the stuff i have going on right now. needless to say the wait was a long time bought it on 1-28-06 and just finally got the last piece today 7-13-06.

I have to gave a MAD SHOUT out to the seller dashtrimdirect

They provided excellent customer service and always responded to my email in a timely manner. So i do recommend this seller on eBay for dash kits!

I have seen lots of those interior trim kits online and alot of them look too much like stickers. The kit you got, would you recomend it, I am asking because i have been looking for a good trim kit but i don't want it to look real ghetto like some of those you get off ebay

well technically they are stickers...just stickers made of real carbon fiber. No they arent PRINT stickers but are still stickers and yes even the best kit in the world looks like a sticker (whether fake or not) when put on. In other words it looks like something you added and not actually part of the piece its sitting on...if that makes sense.

Craig B has a real nice kit made by joshua tree. It is the best quality kit I have ever seen from the quality of the weave (perfect weave...no messed up spots) to the fit and finish. It still looks like it is something you stuck on top of the piece though...you just cant get around that unless you find a way to mold it into the piece. Not saying that looks bad because it doesnt.

couple hundred but it doesnt include all the stuff loco has. His may be a good quality kit as well but all I know is I saw Craigs and it looked great and saw another kit that was cheap that looked horrible compared to it. The fit wasnt great (the holes werent cut exactly how they should be) and the weave was very loose and uneven. It was what it was...a cheap kit.

go to woodtrim.com and check it out.

that first pic looks like you were high when you put the sticker on.....

atleast it covers teh whole glove box i guess....

oh and it obviously looks like a sticker as you dont have any "carbon fiber" where the indentation is for the handle.

why not try being respectful for once? you do realize the reason it "looks like he was high" is because it arrived that way.. if you don't like it, just don't bother giving your opinion. or at least do it respectfully. I wouldn't lace my interior with it either much less pay almost $200 for it, but it's his car. at least his dad didn't have to help him put it on.

ok ill be more respectful.... here goes.

im glad you are doing to your car what you want (i do the same) but to me in my honest opinion it looks like rice. but to each his own. sorry to have rained on your parade, i know you like what you have done to the interior.

well as we all know opinions are like azzholes sometimes they stink. to say you don't like something is fine i personally don't car if anyone likes my car i just make sure i like it. to say a car looks nice because it is stock or to say it looks better because it is not stock is all in opinion.

To threw the word rice out only tells me how much you like stock. if it was rice i would need the over sized spoiler and GT-R and NOS sticker along various decals from brands of companies i have on my car or at least want people to think i have. at least get that right. i mean if we want to get personal i (and or my dad) would at least check the parts before i try to install them or does this bring back memories...

i got owned by a caliper....(see inside for details)....... J/K

What a stock hood? pfft you gotta mod it all, hood and roof included!! j/p

I think the interior is pretty nice and if you want to do something it has to accent the interior and look factory. The only thing I dont like about loco's CF is it doesnt look like it covers the handle and doesnt cover the dip for the handle, and wrap around the side.

Thats cool they gave you a whole piece, but still all they had to do was include a little square for the area under the handle, and make the handle piece bigger, then add what looks like an inch to both dimensions of the large piece and it would make the fit and finish 100x better. As is it looks like they stamped out a piece of CF. Like I said it looks decent as is and IDK if I'd do it if it looked perfect. It looks good on your car tho.

Nothing i love the max with the exception of the 3rd tail light on the trunk. i just like to be different even if it's only a little
