Parts manufacturers....step inside

when is somebody going to get around to making a front lip like this (I mean the black part at the bottom, not the entire bumper)...

for those of us who don't want a fiberglass/urethane front lip/kit, or one that sticks out. I see BMWs, Subarus, and a ton of other cars with the simple, low-key black (hard rubber, I think) lower lip and it looks damn good.

SOMEBODY MAKE ONE....I'd bet you'd sell alot of them for those of us who don't want the "kit" look, but are looking for more of a performance lip.

Only thing....make it without any rivets/screws showing.....if made with an upside-down "L" profile it would fit nicely around the bottom of the OEM front lip.

thats exactly the kind that i want. i was thinking of buying the stillen classic and spraying it with that rubbery rough stuff so it wouldnt chip.
a lot of cars (like a jetta) come with a stock bumper that has something like that at the bottom.

lets start making them in your basement

I think your best bet is going to be custom fab; Irish, have you pushed to see if redlinemax can/will make them? I know he is really busy so I don't know if he wants to take on any new projects.

JC Whitney used to carry a generic rubber air dam like that. just a bendable L shaped that you cut to fit.
Though I don't think it would look right on the stock plain nose, I can't see it matching the contours well.

Pretty much alot of European 80's model cars. Volvo, BMW, Saab

my point was that there IS a market for a more low-key lower lip like you see on M3's and Subarus....not the curved type on the VW necessarily but just like a 2" lip that goes straight down. The stillen lip works fine, but some of us don't like that look. if a manufacturer were to make one, I think he could sell alot, especially if it was part of a front underbody panel/splitter setup

like this:

The B15 Sentra isn't quite as wide in the front as the A33 Maxima, but it could work with some minor fabrication. And that pic just makes me miss my old Sentra all over again. Not that I don't love my Maxima... but the Sentra was my first Nissan. You never love another one like your first one.

The Mach 1 (99-04) lip pictured above costs only about $85 or so from several online places. I've emailed to see what the overall length is.
