front strut bar jdm style or generic difference?

front strut bar jdm style or generic difference?

I'm going to get a front strut bar soon. I was looking at some strut bars on ebay, some were priced for 14.95 and some for 30. The 30 dollars ones just claimed "jdm style". Somehow I have a feeling both the generic and "jdm" style will be the same? Is it, has anyone bought any "jdm style", any noticeable differences?

Its the same thing, they all do the same thing, which is very little. It's a little noticeble but nothing major. With FSTB's, buy the cheapest one you can find.

When I bought mine, it was more for style than for performance. I don't think it does anything at all, unless you're lowered.

I'm getting one soon too, and yes everything I hear is they are all the same so don't but like a $150 Stillen FSTB, get one that colored to the same or near your car, because all its really doing is adding asthetics

i have one, and i am lowered but i don't think it does much, maybe a little steering response, it is a good addition to other suspension upgrades, but doesn't dop much on its own

Dont waste your money, if your really want one, take the Vibrant one, i paid 50$ can. Nice look, handling difference at 65mph...

I got the OTTO e-bay FSTB. I bought it just to have a strut bar. It did absolutely nothing in term of upgrading the handling. Buy one that you like the look of... cause thats all they do is look cool.

Wow the Vibrant one is good looking. But the eBay ones are like $20 cheaper.

I'm going to go against the grain here and this is just my 2 cents. Every fast street car and EVERY drift or race car has them. They are all trying to cut weight but they all believe it helps the handling of their cars. I have the stillen bar (purchased pre-stealin days) and it is very adjustable and made out of billet aluminum. I don't know how hard you drive your car but they definitely tighten up the front geometry and when used with the right RSB, the combo makes a hugh diference. Under any serious load, the cheaper bars flex, alot, so that's why people don't notice any improvement. Again, just my 2 cents.

i got the one from cutom maxima 3 yrs ago and with the rear sway bar, it did a big difference for me. Like night and day, but alone, not that much of a difference, better steering feel

unless your doing a slolom run you will not feel a difference, I have the otto FSTRB, paid $35 and I couldn't be happier....
