Ebay Angel Eye burnt out - 1 on each side?

I'm not sure what the problem is, but I installed these along with my HID's and they were working fine for a couple of weeks. Then the outer ring on my drivers side goes out. A couple of days later the outer ring on my passenger side goes out. I checked the wiring, and everything looked fine and secure.
I'm not sure what the problem can be other than the led itself that burnt out. But I thought LEDs were made to last thousands of hours. I'll be looking into it more when I have some time this week, but I was wondering has anybody else ran into this or a similar problem. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I know you said they're LEDs but they look like CCFLs.

I was looking for suggestions to fix the LEDs, not opinions on the mod but thanks for being a *****.

if I switch them out do you think I'll run into the same problem again? Damn I thought LEDs lasted for a long time

from my experience with my projector headlights, which use LEDs for the angel eyes, LEDs are very unreliable. Shortly after one went...so did two of the others, all in a span of 2 weeks. My opinion is that replacing the LEDs again will probably solve the problem for awhile, but they are likely to blow again. I couldnt be bothered opening up my headlights multiple times so I just gave up on the angel eyes all together.

It could be a wiring issue that's causing the LEDs to blow. And yes they are supposed to last.

Do you have any suggestions? I just spliced to LED wires into the wires for the running lights.

That should be fine. Not sure why they blew. The manufacture might have used crappy LEDs or the ones you have are just a bad batch. Might be a good idea to replace all the LEDs at the same time. You can get 50 pieces 5mm LEDs at 20,000 mcds and up for about $15-20 off eBay.
