Anyones else have problems with the bolts on the Cat?

Anyones else have problems with the bolts on the Cat?

My bolts on my Cat on both sides are rusted soooooo bad that the nuts are completely deformed, I tried heating them up, didn't work, what am i supposed to do next??

Drill them out and replace them with new hardware. Sucks, but sometimes it has to be done.

EVERY cat as old as ours will be like that. Cutting torch should make quick work of them. Be very careful though.

j/k i used a sawzall with a metal blade and cut in between the flanges.....done

and then when u did that u drilled holes and bolted on the cat and u were fine???

I just brought it to a shop and let them do it. They were rusted so bad that it looked like the bolts and flanges were one piece. They got them both out in 15 minutes.

I would probably engulf myself in flames trying to attempt that w/no jack stands.

I just took mine to a shop. they loosened them up for free. so I could go home and do what I had to do. just use stainless steel hardware when putting exhust parts back on
