Zeitronix now has linear output WB O2!!

Posting this here for those who don't check the boosted forum and are interested in using WB's with engine management units/piggybacks like the EU that require linear 0-5v input signals.

From their website:

"The Zt-2 has two wideband outputs. The Linear Wideband Output and the Nonlinear Wideband Output, which follows a natural output curve of Bosch LSU wideband O2 sensor."

"The Zt-2s purchased after September 1 2006 are equipped with the Linear Wideband Output."

www.plxdevices.com has always had a linear output. That's why I chose them for my Zemulator project. The Zemulator works best with a linear output b/c you need to enter the correct equation for voltage in order to datalog the correct AFR.

I got the M-300 a good while back. It's still working great after years of use. I got it for $339 shipped from what I remember.

I just discovered this today when I reinstalled my Zt2. So I emailed them and got a very quick response.

To upgrade the Zt-2 to the latest rev 12 specs which includes the ZAVT-1 control, linear wideband output and adjustable NB switching point you will need to send your Zt-2 (and the LCD if you need to upgrade it- does not support metric/English units) to Zeitronix. We perform all necessary software and hardware upgrades and ship your unit back within 1-3 days.
The upgrade cost is $49 plus shipping. Continental US UPS ground shipping is $12. Please include payment with your Zt-2 unit. Please use paypal account sales@zeitronix.com or provide detailed credit card info.

Send your Zt-2 priority mail to:
Zeitronix
P.O. Box 9125
San Pedro CA 90734

Please print and include this e-mail, your return address and a phone number.

Thank you
Zeitronix

No dude. I sent the email from work at about 9:37. Before I even got home (apparently 9:50) I got the response. Two minutes after I noticed it, I did the .org search and posted it.

They always have. It's the first item on the order page.

Or do you mean you dont want the WB controller? If that's the case just go buy yourself a sensor.

I meant no controller. I have contemplated EU since the mod can be transfered to almost any car. Therefore a controller would be redundant.

I am really retarded when it comes to tuning, EU, tuning sensors, etc.

I know the companies listed above provide WB02, linear outputs, etc., but who provides the straight up sensor as you just stated?

EDIT:
LC-1 Standalone

This must be what you are referring to ... right?

"The LC-1 is a complete wideband controller built in to a sealed cable. It features the same award-winning patented digital measurement principal found in the LM-1, and includes digital input, output, and 2 programmable analog outputs."

See, you still need the controller.

Ugh ... there really is no way to cut costs with EU (Silent mods FTW). You got to fess up the $500 bucks for it plus you are just cutting yourself short if you do not purchase a WB02. I guess the extra $200 it what it takes and no less. Thanks for the info SR20.

+1. A WBo2 w/out the controller is useless.

Sometimes you just got to pay to play. No matter which tuning system you get, you still need a WB to properly tune AFR's, so it's not just applicable to the EU.

And yes, you always need the controller. Without it the raw output from the sensor won't make any sense to a tuning device.
