Doe the 5th gen axel back bolt up to our exhaust(b-pipe) without any modification?

some modification is needed... but yes it does fit and there are a few ppl that have the 5.5 gen aswell on the 4th gen. All u need is a reputable exhaust shop.

You'll also have to cut your rear bumper for the dual tips to fit. It'll just change the sound a little bit. If you think it's going to give you more power, spend your money elsewhere.

it will sound a little more aggressive when you get on it. Hopefully someone with the exhaust on thier car can chime in.

$85 for it seems high. Check car-part.com should be able to find it somewhere for $40-$65.

I think you should get the 5th gen babymac. I know you bought your B already but the 5th muffler would sound great with it. It should give a better sound like you wanted. Not too loud but aggresive when you step on it. You can find them in the classifieds and car-part. I saw someone selling their's for $40 or so. Just check around. I think it would be good.

Yeah , but its gotta be welded and i have to cut my bumper sounds like something I don't wanna do. I'll just stick with ny b-pipe and stock muffler.

if you have a hack saw or an electric cutter. You could cut where the flange is on the b pipe to connect to the muffle and use a coupler at the end to connect to the new muffler. Just bolting on, no welding, and the muffler will fit without cuttin your bumper, but if you want the look like it was the exhaust from the factory you'll want to cut it.

but that sound like more work than you want to do.

Well cutting the bumper wouldnt be a problem. Just a small trim really. As for welding, a shop will attach that for pretty cheap. I'm putting a greddy muffler on mine (got it for $20) and they said it would be about $40 to fit and weld it on. Nothing bad. Just hope that the sound isnt overwhelming haha

i have had a 5th gen muffler on my car for about 2 years. i did it cause my 4th gen muffler had holes in it, and my freind gave me this 5th gen on. Nothing has to be moddfied.....but like most mufflers it has to be welded on. the exhust shop bent the hooks the way it needed to be and welded it for around $35

IT DOES NOT SOUND ANY DIFFERANT.....it is a stock muffler and sound like a stock muffler. the only way you can hear a differance is if you get close enough to the muffler tip you can hear it if you try.

I have a hi flow cat, b pipe, and y pipe and it sounds pretty much stock(the way i want it)
