I have a question can the halo projector headlights for 00-03 take d2r/d2s bulbs if so how and i would need instructions how/to for the headlights as well installing them if possibale thank you very much,

D2R's are made for reflector-type housings, and D2S' are made for projector-type housings. To answer your question, whichever method you use, you must modify the base of the bulb for the oppsosite housing it was intended for. For example, a D2R bulb's base and black lining on bulb must be altered in order to make it work on a projector. Same with D2S...the base must be altered to make it work in a reflector housing. Your best route is to use the bulb what is was intended for.

 

D2R will not work for projectors....only D2S will

You can also use D2C which is a new type of bulb....they fit both R and S

If you have the Ebay projector headlights, you should use H3 bulbs. If you retrofit a projector that accepts D2S bulbs, then you should use D2S.

 

If you can change out your H4 bulbs, then all you have to do is remove your OEM headlights. It does require a manuvering the headlight remove and install but it shouldn't take more than an hour to do.
