5.5 Gen Auto to 6-Speed swap

Has anyone succesfully done a 6-speed swap in a 2002-2003 Auto?

Did the ECU need to be reprogrammed? Did it require a 6MT ECU?

What about the flywheel Crank Sensor? Do the auto and 6MT flywheels have the same ring that the sensor reads?

Yeah thanks a bunch. It looks like it's all about the good old Nissan VQ Flywheel Crank sensor. Everything seems to revolve around that damn sensor, and it has lengthened many, many swaps, and been a total pain in the @ss to many many many many people.

In this case I should get the 4AT flywheel ring machined to my 3.0 5-speed flywheel (what I am using) to fool the Crank Sensor. So far that is my solution, although I can't be 100% there won't be other issues.

The thing is that my old engine is sold (2900$ installed in a 99) and I found a 2003 VQ35 for 600$cnd and they are willing to sell me the engine wiring harness, ECU, immobilizer, e-gas pedal, gauge cluster and basically empty the entire dash, for 1500$cnd with the engine.

But it's an auto. I am dead set on buying this engine (600$cnd is a joke) but I'm not sure about the rest. Finding a 6MT dash is gonna be fun.

Let's pretend for a moment that I got it working - would there be any performance advantage to having a 6MT ECU vs Auto?

And so I've learned today: Not much more efficient of a DT either
