don't really understand what you mean by that smoke, but if you splash water on your cooling components, more heat will dissipate with water rather than just air alone;
i think the EVO sprays water on it's radiator or intercooler; forget which one; but it cools a lot better than just running it dry

It's weird how they have it listed for the 04-06 Maxima....yet there are no turboed 04-06s....?

And when you do a parts search on the Injen web site, it does not come up as an available intake part for the 04-06 Max
