So I was on ebay and found some interesting lil toys...
So I found these 2 interesting things this one seller is selling. First one is...
89-98 NISSAN MAXIMA OEM ALARM SYSTEM KIT W/KEY. This one is interesting because it has a key just like Audi. Just another ebay rip off?

Second is this...
89-97 MAXIMA 93 94 JDM FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR

So wat do u guys think? eBay rip offs?

lol well ur right... so it doesnt work? i really like the audi style alarm but would it be better then factory one?
both those items are mass produced for any car out there. The fuel pressure regulator is junk, forget about that thing. I'm sure it's "JDM" because someone in hong kong made it. Total BS in my opinion.
The alarm is a POS from the look of it. If all it comes with is a siren, relay, control box, and one sensor it can't be that great. It says this:
"Roll Window Up/Down (Module Not Included)."
"Universal blank keys (may require modifications)"
In other words...in no way is this item specifically for a maxima. One tip...if the ebay item doesn't say 89-94, but intead says 94-99, 94-95, 88-97, 89-00...you get the idea....IT'S A RIP OFF.

Time for me to chime in...
First off, in principal, I'd have to agree with traxtar944 on the worthiness of these items.
I'm not a big FPR guy, but having the gauge under the hood seems to defeat the whole "keep an eye on your system" argument.
Although, in the alarm's defense, most basic (read - affordable, entry level) alarm systems only come with the items that they show. As a matter of fact, at the shop I work at, we sell an Autopage alarm that - aside from it having a built-in shock sensor - has all of that. Of course, I'd venture to say it's a waaaay better system, but I'm biased.
I used to sell/install Crimestopper for years before I moved and I will stand behind just about everything they make. Awesome, cost-effective systems and great tech support.
As for that Compustar Pro P2W9000FMR, I've actually been doing research into getting that for my Max. Mainly because it's one of the few two-way RSKE's out there now that's made for auto's AND manual's.
However, when I talked to their rep about two or so weeks ago, she told me that they won't be available for retail sale until the latter part of the first quarter '07.

you don't want a fuel pressure gauge inside the car.
they are typically reading the fuel pressure from the fuel directly.
in other words do you really want gasoline INSIDE your car. just one more place for it to leak.

Another good thing is the anti carjack feature that a lot of the alarms systems have now. It's standard equipment in many new vehicles.
yeah you did show me that! I love that alarm it has so many awesome features for a great price. I'm really thinking about buying it. I wanted auto start, but why not get an alarm along with it?? Plus a shock detector is really necessary, because otherwise a theif could just remove a window and be gone..... pager alarms are cool too.

let me clear up the FP gauge info here.
yes you would want a fuel pressure gauge under your hood for tuning. yes there are engines out there that would require a higher or lower fuel pressure. it's quite difficult to go in the car to read the fuel PSI and then go under the hood to make the adjustment. having the gauge under the hood will make it a lot easier to watch the pressure as you turn the ****/dial/etc to set your fuel pressure.
the interior gauges are electronic gauges. there will be a sender that taps off the fuel line and that gets the physical fuel pressure and sends that over to the gauge inside the car via electrical signal. so no...no actual fuel will lead into the car.
the guys with the gauges outside the car...those are mechanical gauges and basically tapped off the fuel line.
the car comes with a fuel pressure regulator...if it's not broken then leave it alone.
