what to do with this intake?

I bought my car with this intake.

The filters looks like a cheap one from ebay and the rubber part that connects to the TB has a hole in it.
Should I find a stock intake or should I just buy a k&n filter?
And does anyone know what k&n filter I need, what part #?

Where is the hole in the rubber connector? If it isn't leaking any air it shouldn't be a problem. And for the filter just measure the diameter of your MAF adapter and order one to fit that diameter. I would guess it's 3".

either find a stock intake and put that back on, or replace the filter/parts with holes in it.

Actually, I recently (as in a few days ago) changed over to PR Mid-pipe detup and I gotta tell ya the engine is SO much more responsive when I get on it. It also changed the pitch and duration of the intake roar.

I'm thinking that the Mid-pipe setup is actually the best, maybe not for power, but for less air lag. (Ie. traveling a longer distance/ bends) In the summer however I will go back to CAI setup to avoid ping.

I have a JWT Pop right now, so you're saying it might be better if i make a mid pipe for it?

i say go with the PR CAI ive got one on my maxima now and its awesome...it takes a little more work to install compared to the injen intake but its well worth it the PR gets actual "cool" air unlike the injen and a pop charger...go with the PR CAI...thats just my .02
