It's usually not smart to race 2 Yamahas and a Kawasaki, it's a guaranteed loss, but apparantly that guarantee is void in New Jersey. What started out a bunch of biker punks showing off wheelies and accel. speeds turned into a 3-on-1 brawl for all when they found out...

I was keeping up

Anyhoo, bobbing and weaving though traffic and traffic lights, I thought I had lost for sure when I hit an open area for the bikes to leave me in the dust. And they did only to hit traffic on the next light, which I easily wedged them between me and slower traffic.

"Throwing your weight around 101": They WILL move if you're bigger.

I lost them at as I blew by a yellow light. So does it count as one win or 3 wins?

No offense, but I just bought a 2001 Suzuki GSXR600 Yellow/Black cause I just needed more speed. And if you attempted to race me on my bike, I would not only blow you away, I would make sure I went fast enough that you would not even know what the hell it was that just went flying by you!!! J/K....

I also just traded my 2000 SE in for a new Black on Black 2001 SE. To my unbelievable ability in price negoiations, I got the the car for $5 more a month than my 2000 SE payments.

I'm sure you would blow by me. I wouldn't expect anything less from a bike. But unless you're a ghost or able to jump over cars w/o a ramp you won't beat me in traffic

BTW do you lease or buy? I'm interested in trading for a newer model down the line. But I "bought" my car over the next 5 years.

See I bought my 2000SE on a 5yr loan at 7.25%, but then last week, they had a special on the maxima of only 3.9% on a 5yr loan. So I decided to trade in my 2000SE and get the 2001SE and basically my payments went up $5 a month. Which was DAMN good to me, the only thing I lost is that about $6000 on the 2000SE, but then again I did use the car for 20months and I think it is worth it to me.

If I was on that bike I would've gotten off it at the stoplight, smashed your window, yanked you out by your neck, and handed you your A$$.

Don't "throw your weight around" when the other guy doesnt have metal around him for protection.

And if you wonder why this reply is so harsh...
its because i spent over a year in a cast and almost two years stuck in bed because of a blind A$$HOLE.

I just want to know how you are going to beat me on a bike in traffic when my bike is small enough to zip through in between lanes and emergency lanes? You will never beat a bike in traffic.

Never

No shoulders, no clearance for a bike. That's why I won in the first place. Anywhere else I would have lost.

I'm not blind. I'm not an a$$hole. I wouldn't intentionally hit a guy on a motorbike or anyone else for that matter. And I wasn't the guy who hit YOU. So don't take your bitterness out on me, son.

You may not be blind, but if you're throwing your weight around, directed towards people on motorcycles, YOU ARE AN A$$HOLE. And I aint your son, bit@h.

Oh can I join in? Wheelies and weaving on a crowded highway are both dumb ideas. As you add the number of bikes traveling in a group, their collective intelligence drops fast.

Throwing your weight around is also dumb idea. I've seen too many ugly scenes ranging from bikes being run over to drivers being shot when people are pumped and too stupid to back down. Worth risking it? How about entering some race events instead?

Hey! This guy's right! I've been a rat bastard.

If I brought up any painful memories, My 4DSC, I'm sorry.

I LUUUuuuuUUUVVV YOOOOOOOO MAAAAAAAN

BTW, my mom's shoulder was shattered when a hot ******* biker flew through the windsheild of her Taurus. The SOB actually tried to run away on a broken leg (which became two broken legs when I caught him). So you'll forgive me if I don't think much of biker roadkill.

And beanboy, you can be killed just as easily on the track. There are no public racetracks where I live or I'd be there already.

Seriously, alot of bikers will not push their machines to extremes, for the very reason that MY 4DSC stated. In a car, a mistake will destroy the car. At 100 on a bike, it will kill you. Alot of riders tend to keep it under 100 for this reason. And you two, take it to the track, leave it off the board.

Well said m'sonic.

It's funny how brave people get when there is probably zero chance they will get to meet and square up.

Its unfortunate you didnt want to race me when I had the supercharger...But even so, I only run mid 14's now all-motor. That is of course until my NOS arrives in the mail later this month.

All right already, you smoked me before I even had the chance. Sheesh, we really need a public circuit track in NJ.
Then I'll show you some tricks... in my stock '93 Ford Escort wagon

My 600 is FAST, the GSXR600 are some of the fastest bikes, they can beat ALOT of 750s. My 600 puts out about 101hp on the dyno, with NO MODS. There aint a 600 sportbike out there that puts out that much HP from a damn 600cc engine.

So, even if I do run into some 750s, i can easily keep up with them, if not take them. I have taken a 750 Katana..

damn, with all the hatred flying around, you'd think someone had posted about a CL-S.

Anyways, about the bikes-I found that you can do a lot better against them when they're trying to show off and pop wheelies. Well, maybe. I guy I played with today did that wheelie **** all the way up to 100. I was at full throttle and inching up on him (and I do mean inching, it was close). I have no idea if he was at full throttle or not, but he was starting to get a little shaky on that wheelie, so I backed way off so that if he killed himself it wouldn't be as a result of my car or some need he felt he had to beat me on one wheel. Some bikers can do some pretty stupid ****, but so can any driver. Veggieh8tr, I'm not quite sure how the hell you managed to keep up with them without some pretty dangerous driving. Yes, there IS a difference between having a little fun and driving in a manner that can not only get yourself killed but others as well, and it's a pretty easy line to cross. Maybe you should take it a little easier next time. Just my $.02...

Well since I am the one on here that has a bike, I will tell you that the reason why he was a little shaky was that he was going 100mph on a wheelie and the wind really starts hitting you and on top of the HE was not at full throttle because in order to do a wheelie you have to be about half throttle and then hold the throttle to maintain the wheelie.

If he went full throttle on a wheelie, he would have flipped the bike over.

There wasn't any doubt in my mind as to why he was shaky.

Damn, not full throttle...not that I really expected him to be. oh well, still a good day/night.

interesting thread....

i dont wanna get involved in the flames but most of you guys automatically assume that popping wheelies is juss for show. Sometimes you pop a wheelie by accident cause the bike accelerates so fast the front end comes up. When i go riding with my friend in his R1, he pops wheelies by accident alot. Every wonder why there are so many brand new R1's for sale? hehe people buy them and find out its too much to handle and then sell em.

Well that is true, it is too much throttle, but still, you should not be popping a wheelie too often otherwise you might be burning the cluth out and not know how to ride.

I am not saying you friend dont know how to ride, but just saying that he might be giving it way too much gas and not easing off the clutch.

man the R1 is scary, pop wheelies on the freeway, dont need to be letting the clutch out wrong. hey i dont think the Gixxer600 is highest horsepower in its class. The F4i has 118 i belive. My friend rides pretty good. Wheneever we go for rides he's always the fastest one and he knows how to do lots of stunts too.

Actually I think you are wrong, because in this month's issue of cycle world, they tested the 4 SuperSport bikes, the Honda CBR600F4i, The Yamaha YZF-R6, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R, and the Suzuki GSX-R600. It showed in there that the Suzuki GSX-R600 topped all of them at about 101bhp. None of the others even hit 3digit bhp.

Just noticed it when I was reading through that magazine.
