Battery or Alternator?
Battery or Alternator?
I work 3 miles away from home and yes'day the weirdest thing happened. I left work and the car started up fine and was driving okay, I stopped for gas and turned off the car. It wouldnt start up again. I had to have it jump started and drove home. After come home, i let the car sit for about 20 min and tried to start it and it started up fine. Today morning, it wouldnt start again. I just replaced the battery 2 months ago so dont think it can be that. You guys think alternator is not charging the battery enough? Or is it 'cuz my drive is too short for battery to get charged fully?
batteries start the car, alternators keep it running(charge battery). my guess is that something is staying on and draining your battery. could also be bad connections or a bad ground. check the ground on block, my roomates car has this same problem, he changed the alternator and it didnt fix anything cause the car still wont start with a jump. he then checked the ground on the block and it was covered in oil.
