People have done the swap before. Don't forget you have to swap door panels as well if you want it done right.

there is wiring under your seats for power, but not for heated. you need to buy a heated center console with the switches and wiring. heated seats not as easy as powering up the seats.

Check under your seats, there should be wiring for Powered seats there (some Maxes do not however). If they're there then you can go ahead and swap the seats and simply plug in the harnesses. If you feel the heated option is really worth it then you can try to find an entire center console with switches, or locate the switches and wiring separately. I just swapped my cloth for black leather but it wasn't worth the effort to me to hook up the heated option.

I Have two tan leather seats. I'm changing my interior from tan to black and I am getting some 350Z black leather seats. My seats are in pretty good condition. The driver's side is power.

I did the leather swap, my seats were cloth, non-power. Its like playing with Lego's! plug and play, very easy! the heated seat part will probably take a little more work, but it wont be very hard, I'm pretty sure i saw a thread in the 4Th gen classifieds for heated seat switches. Just get a wiring diagram for you cars electrical system and you should be golden.
